For journalists

Your clips, your beat and how to reach you

Sources, editors and readers all need the same page: what you cover, what you have written and how to get in touch. Keep it on an address you own, wherever you work next.

A portfolio that moves with you

Staff pages disappear when you change jobs. A page on your own domain does not. On Pro, put it on yourname.com for $20 a year; see custom domain. Your Bluesky handle can use the same domain, as this guide explains.

Each outlet or series is a project with links to the pieces, and outlets you have left are marked Past role (see project status).

How to reach you

Sources need to know how to contact you safely. Link buttons can go to your email, your Signal username page or your outlet's tip line, with a short line under each. makerhandle counts visits without cookies or stored IP addresses, which matters to some sources; see link in bio without a cookie banner.

Freelancing? Turn on Open to work and upload a CV with Open to work and resume.

Readers

If you write a newsletter, the subscribe box can sit right under your clips. Your newest podcast episode or video report can show with the video and podcast blocks.

Free: 5 projects, 50 links, three templates, 100 email subscribers and 7 days of stats, with a small "Built w/ makerhandle" badge. Pro is $20 a year: all nine templates, unlimited projects and subscribers, a year of stats, the contact form, your own domain and no badge.
