Feature
Your newest video and episode, on your page by themselves
Paste your channel or your show's feed once. From then on your page shows the newest upload and the newest episode, and they play right there when someone presses play.
Your latest YouTube video
In the editor's Page tab, choose Add block, then Latest YouTube video, and paste your channel link or your @handle. There is no YouTube login and no API key: makerhandle reads your channel's public feed.
The block shows your newest video, or your newest three, with the thumbnail, the title and the date. You choose what a click does: play it on your page, or open it on YouTube. Shorts are left out unless you switch them on, so a quick clip does not push your main video off the page. It sits above or below your projects, in every template.
Your page checks the channel about every hour while it gets visits, and once a day otherwise. Uploaded something just now? Refresh now in the editor fetches it at once.
One featured video near the top
A trailer, a demo, a showreel or the one video that explains what you do. Paste a YouTube, Vimeo or Loom link, or upload an MP4 of up to 25 MB, and it shows as a large card near the top of your page or right under your bio, with a title if you want one.
YouTube, Vimeo and Loom bring their own thumbnail; for an upload, add a cover image. Each project can have its own video too, on its project page.
Your latest podcast episode, with a player
Choose Latest podcast episode and paste your show's RSS feed, or its Apple Podcasts link and makerhandle finds the feed through Apple's public directory. The card shows the newest episode's title, date, length and artwork, and plays it on your page. Add your Apple Podcasts and Spotify links and they sit under the player, for listeners who would rather subscribe in their app.
RSS and Atom feeds both work, and so does a long feed: the newest episode is found even when a host lists them oldest first. The episode updates by itself, on the same schedule as videos.
Fast pages, private until someone presses play
Nothing loads from YouTube, Vimeo or Loom when your page opens. The block shows a thumbnail, and the player loads only when a visitor presses play; YouTube videos play from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Episode audio does not download until someone presses play either.
Fetching happens on makerhandle's servers, with timeouts and size limits, never in your visitors' browsers. Your page's security policy allows those players only on pages that have the blocks, and the analytics stay cookie-free.
Find your RSS feed
Spotify does not publish a feed anyone else can read, so a Spotify link alone cannot fill the block. Your show still has one: every podcast host (Spotify for Creators, Buzzsprout, Transistor, Libsyn, Podbean, Captivate, RSS.com and the rest) shows its RSS feed address in the show's settings or distribution page, usually labeled "RSS feed".
If your show is on Apple Podcasts, the easiest way is to paste its Apple Podcasts link instead. Then add your Spotify link in the block's Spotify field, and listeners get a button to it under the player.
Free, on every plan
All three blocks are on the free plan and on Pro. They fit every template, light or dark, and work on your custom domain too. Each one can be hidden without losing its settings, and removing the featured video deletes its upload.
Questions
Do I need a YouTube API key?
No. Paste your channel link or @handle; makerhandle reads the channel's public feed.
How soon does a new video show?
Within about an hour on a page that gets visits, and once a day otherwise. Refresh now in the editor fetches it at once.
Can I use my Spotify link?
Not on its own, because Spotify publishes no feed. Paste your RSS feed or your Apple Podcasts link, and add the Spotify link as a button under the player.
Does it set YouTube cookies on my visitors?
Not when the page opens. The player loads only when someone presses play, from YouTube's privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com.
Is it free?
Yes. All three blocks are on every plan.
