vCard QR code generator

Put your contact details in a QR code. People scan it and their phone offers to save you as a contact, spelled right, with your number and site.

What goes in a vCard code

A vCard is the contact format every phone understands. Fill in what you want people to have: your name, phone, email, business, job title and one website. The phone shows a "Create contact" prompt with everything filled in.

Fewer fields make a smaller code that scans more easily. A name, a number and one link is usually enough.

A vCard holds one website. If you have a shop, a portfolio, a booking page and three socials, make that one link a page with all of them: a link in bio page on a domain you own reads well on a card and never needs reprinting when a link changes.

Private by design

The code is built in your browser and downloaded straight from it. Your phone number and email are not sent to us, stored or added to any list.

Printing it? The PDF card puts the code on an A6 card with a line of text. For a standard business card, use the SVG so it stays sharp at 2 or 3 cm wide.

Questions

Do iPhones and Android phones read vCard QR codes?

Yes. Both open the camera prompt to save the contact. Some older phones need a QR app.

Is my contact information stored?

No. Everything is made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Can I change the details later?

The details are written into the code, so changes need a new code. Point the website field at a page you can edit, and most changes happen there instead.

Why is my code so dense?

Every field adds characters. Drop the ones people rarely need, like a second job title, and the code gets bigger squares that scan from further away.
