Feature
A public stats page, with one switch
Turn on a public stats page and anyone can see your page's traffic, next to your verified revenue. An open startup page in one click.
What it shows
With public stats on, makerhandle.com/yourhandle/stats shows your page's analytics dashboard, read-only: visitors, pageviews, sources, locations, devices and project clicks over time.
Combine it with verified revenue on your page and you have the two numbers most "open startup" pages share: traffic and income, both from the source rather than a screenshot.
Why share stats
Building in public works best with numbers people can trust. A monthly update that links to live stats is more convincing than a chart image, and it saves you making the chart.
It also helps other makers. Seeing real traffic from a launch, a newsletter mention or a Hacker News post sets honest expectations. Read how to run an open startup page.
Private by default
The stats page is off until you turn it on in the editor, and you can turn it off again at any time. When it is off, the address simply redirects to your page.
The analytics themselves use no cookies and store no IP addresses, so publishing them reveals nothing about any individual visitor. See analytics and makerhandle for building in public.
