Verified revenue

Verified revenue from Paddle

Connect Paddle Billing with a read-only API key and your page shows MRR from active subscriptions, or the last 30 days of transactions, with a check mark.

Connect in about a minute

  1. In your project in the makerhandle editor, choose Paddle under revenue. The button opens Paddle's API keys page.
  2. Click New API key, name it makerhandle and set the expiry as late as Paddle allows.
  3. Under permissions, set Transactions and Subscriptions to Read, nothing else. Save and copy the key; it starts with pdl_live_apikey_.
  4. Paste it. We check it before saving.

Paddle keys expire, so when Paddle reminds you, paste a new one.

What we show

  • With active subscriptions: MRR, each active subscription normalized to a monthly amount.
  • Otherwise: the last 30 days of completed transactions, net of refunds.

Each project also gets a revenue history chart with up to a year of monthly figures. The number refreshes every few hours, carries a check mark on your page, your project page and the leaderboard, and can go on your site or README as a revenue badge.

Read-only and encrypted

A key with Read access to Transactions and Subscriptions cannot create transactions, issue refunds or change products. It is encrypted at rest and never shown again, not even to you. Revoke it in Paddle and access ends at once.

Paddle is a merchant of record, so its figures are what customers paid it for your product. Whatever you choose, the page says where the number comes from, which is what makes it verified revenue rather than a screenshot.
