Taplink alternative
A Taplink alternative for makers
Taplink builds mini landing pages from blocks. makerhandle gives makers a finished project page from a template, in two minutes.
What Taplink does well
Taplink lets you build a mini landing page for your bio from blocks, with features aimed at small businesses such as forms and lead capture. If you want to collect enquiries or bookings from social media, that block-based approach is flexible and practical.
It is a good fit for service businesses that want a small sales page in their bio.
The block approach means you can shape the page around exactly what your business needs, and that flexibility is why many small businesses choose it. If you are comfortable assembling a page piece by piece, it works well.
Templates instead of blocks
Block builders are flexible, but you still have to decide what goes where. makerhandle skips that. You add your projects (name, description, link, tags, status, screenshot) and pick one of seven templates: Stack, Showcase, Bento, Minimal, Spotlight, Terminal or Studio.
The templates are designed so you cannot break them, and switching between them keeps all your content. Most makers have a finished page in about two minutes, and updating it means changing a project, not rearranging blocks.
It is less flexible by design, and that is the point.
Proof for products
makerhandle is built for people who make products. Each project has a status (Active, Building, Acquired, On hold, Discontinued), and you can connect Stripe or Shopify with read-only access to show verified revenue with a check mark and a revenue history chart.
Verified projects can appear on the public leaderboard. Keys are encrypted at rest and never shown again. Read how to show verified MRR for the details.
Revenue is optional on every project, and you can disconnect at any time.
Analytics and email, built in
makerhandle analytics use no cookies and store no IPs. You see visitors, pageviews, bounce rate, visit duration, sources and UTM campaigns, locations down to city, devices and browsers, project clicks and subscribes as goals, realtime visitors and a previous-period comparison, with CSV export.
There is also a subscribe box with double opt-in and CSV export, or a button to Substack, beehiiv, Kit, Buttondown or Mailchimp. Free covers 100 subscribers; Pro is unlimited.
Both work on the free plan. Pro keeps a full year of history.
Pricing and choosing
makerhandle is free for five projects and three templates. Pro is $20 a year for unlimited projects, all seven templates and the theme builder, a custom domain with automatic SSL, a year of analytics and no badge.
Choose Taplink if you want a block-built sales page with forms for a service business. Choose makerhandle if you want a clean page for the products you build, with verified revenue and private analytics. See pricing.
You can start free and upgrade only when you need more.
