Comparison
makerhandle vs TrustMRR
TrustMRR lists startups with verified revenue and helps people buy and sell them. makerhandle is your own page for everything you make.
What TrustMRR does well
TrustMRR is a public database of startups with revenue verified through a direct connection to their payment providers, and a marketplace for buying and selling online businesses. It is run by Marc Lou.
It supports a long list of providers, including Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Paddle, RevenueCat, Superwall, Dodo Payments, Creem, Whop and Shopify. If you want a verified listing, or you are thinking about selling a startup, it is a strong place to be.
Verification is the core of the product, and that focus shows.
A personal page, not a listing
makerhandle answers a different question. Not "what is this startup worth?", but "who is this maker and what have they built?"
It is the one link for your bios: a short bio, socials, and all your projects with a description, screenshot, tags and status (Active, Building, Acquired, On hold or Discontinued), including the ones that never made money. Pick one of seven templates, Stack, Showcase, Bento, Minimal, Spotlight, Terminal or Studio, and you are done in about two minutes.
Done once, it stays current.
Verified revenue, simply
makerhandle verifies revenue from Stripe (a read-only restricted key with Read access to Subscriptions and Charges) and Shopify (a read-only app with read_orders). Verified figures get a check mark and a revenue history chart, and can appear on our public leaderboard.
TrustMRR supports far more payment providers. If you sell through Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy, that matters. If you use Stripe or Shopify, makerhandle covers you. See verified revenue.
Keys are checked before saving, encrypted at rest and never shown again.
Analytics, subscribers and your domain
Because makerhandle is your page, it comes with things a listing does not: cookie-free analytics (visitors, sources and UTM campaigns, locations, devices, project clicks, realtime, CSV export and an optional public stats page), an email subscribe box with double opt-in, and a custom domain on Pro with automatic SSL.
Pricing is simple: free for five projects, or Pro at $20 a year for unlimited projects, every template, a custom domain and a year of analytics. See pricing.
Free covers 100 subscribers.
Use both
TrustMRR and makerhandle complement each other. List your startups on TrustMRR for discovery among buyers and the verified-revenue community. Use makerhandle as your personal home: the link in your X, LinkedIn and GitHub bios that shows everything you have built, with proof where you have it.
For more on sharing numbers in public, read how to show verified MRR and building in public.
One is where buyers and the verified-revenue crowd look; the other is the link you put everywhere. Both can show numbers backed by your payment provider.
