For job seekers

The link on your resume, done right

Recruiters spend seconds on a portfolio link. Give them projects with screenshots, a clear bio and proof you ship, on one fast page.

What a hiring manager wants to see

A hiring manager clicking your portfolio link wants answers fast: what have you built, does it work, and can I talk to you? A GitHub profile shows code but not products. A personal site often shows a half-finished design.

A makerhandle page shows each project with a screenshot, a one-line description, tags for the stack and a link to try it. A short Markdown bio and links to GitHub and LinkedIn sit above. Pick Showcase for screenshots or Minimal for a clean index.

Know when they look

Add a UTM tag to the link on each application, like ?utm_source=resume&utm_campaign=acme, and analytics show which campaign brought a visit and which projects got clicked. It is a gentle signal that your application was read.

There are no cookies and no stored IP addresses, so you see that a visit happened, not who it was. See UTM tracking.

Honest about what is finished

Statuses let you include work in progress without overselling it. Building on a current project shows momentum. Discontinued on an old one is fine; it shows you finished something and moved on.

If a side project has paying users through Stripe, verified revenue is unusual and memorable on a resume link.

Five projects are free forever, which is plenty for a focused portfolio. Pro is $20 a year if you want your own domain, like yourname.dev, all templates and a year of stats. See makerhandle for developers.
