For course creators

Show the course before they click buy

Each course, ebook, preset pack or download gets a card with its cover and a page with the trailer, what is inside and who it is for. Checkout stays where it is.

A card and a page for each product

A button that says "My course" asks people to click before they know why. On makerhandle each course or digital product is a project: a cover image, one line on what it teaches, tags like "beginner" or "lightroom", and a link to the checkout you already use.

Prefer a shop shelf? The product grid reads your published products from Gumroad or Lemon Squeezy (or Stripe payment links), with covers and prices, and links each one to its checkout: 4 on the free plan, 12 on Pro, refreshed every six hours.

Each project also opens its own project page: a Markdown write-up for the syllabus, up to 12 images with captions (lesson screenshots, before and after), up to eight one-line highlights ("12 lessons, 3 hours", "lifetime updates") and a video: paste a YouTube or Loom link and the trailer plays on the page when someone presses play.

What your page would show

Example: a photo editing teacher. At the top, her socials and a highlighted "Free mini course" button. Then her flagship course as the large featured card, with "$4.8k in the last 30 days, verified" from Lemon Squeezy, then two preset packs on Gumroad and an ebook marked Coming soon. A subscribe box at the bottom catches the people who are not ready to buy.

Launching something? Mark it Coming soon or Building with a waitlist link, then switch it to Active on launch day.

Sales your audience can trust

"This course made me $10k" is a claim people doubt. Connect the store and the number comes from the source, with a check mark: Gumroad (last 30 days of sales, net of refunds), Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Stripe (a read-only restricted key) or Shopify. Teachable, Kajabi, Thinkific and Podia cannot be connected directly; if your sales are paid into your own Stripe account, a read-only Stripe key may cover them. See verified revenue.

Showing revenue is optional on every project. Most course creators show it on one product, or not at all.

Fed up with Linktree?

Linktree's own help center says it does not support custom domains, so a Linktree always starts with linktr.ee. Hiding the Linktree logo takes its Pro or Premium plan, priced by region on its pricing page. makerhandle Pro is $20 a year everywhere and includes your own domain and no badge. To be fair to Linktree: its free plan has unlimited links, and ours has 50 on every plan.

makerhandle never takes a cut of your sales, because it never handles them: buyers check out on your course platform or store. If you want checkout on the page itself, a creator store such as Stan is built for that; see Stan Store alternatives for the fees. Selling Notion or Figma templates? See template sellers.

Questions

Can I sell my course on makerhandle?

No. Each card links to your checkout on Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Teachable, Kajabi or wherever you sell. makerhandle takes no fee.

Can my page list my Gumroad or Lemon Squeezy products automatically?

Yes. The product grid reads your published products with covers and prices and links each to its checkout. Products sold elsewhere, like Teachable or Kajabi, can be added by hand.

Can I show a course trailer?

Yes. Paste a YouTube or Loom link on the course's project page and it plays there when someone presses play.

Which course sales can be verified?

Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, Stripe and Shopify. Teachable, Kajabi, Thinkific and Podia cannot be connected directly.

Can I collect emails for a launch?

Yes. The subscribe box uses double opt-in and exports to CSV: 100 subscribers free, unlimited on Pro. Or link it to Kit, beehiiv or Substack.
