Alternatives
Stan Store alternatives, free and cheaper
Stan is a good storefront with a flat price and no fee on sales. It has no free plan, though. Here is when a cheaper option wins, and which one.

What Stan costs
Stan's own pricing post, updated July 2026, lists two plans:
- Creator: $29 a month, or $300 a year
- Creator Pro: $99 a month, or $948 a year
Both take no Stan fee on sales; Stripe or PayPal processing still applies. There is a 14-day trial rather than a free plan. That flat price is great value once you sell steadily, and a hard sell when you are starting out or sell nothing from your bio at all. Those are the two reasons people search for an alternative.

If you sell, but not much yet
A fee on each sale beats a flat price until your sales pass the crossover: the monthly price divided by the fee.
- Beacons free plan takes 9% on digital product sales, per Beacons' help center. Against Stan Creator at $29, Beacons is cheaper until about $322 a month in sales. See Beacons alternatives for its paid plans.
- Gumroad has no monthly fee and charges 10% + $0.50 per sale through your profile or direct links, per Gumroad's pricing. It is cheaper than Stan until somewhere below $290 a month, depending on how many sales that is.
Once you sell more than that every month, Stan's flat price is usually the cheaper deal, and that is the honest answer.
If you do not sell from your bio at all
Many people set up Stan because it is what creators use, then find that what they actually make is an app, a SaaS, a Shopify store or a newsletter, all of which already have checkout. Then $29 a month buys a storefront you do not need.
makerhandle is a page for exactly that case. Each product is a project with a status, a screenshot and a page of its own with a write-up and gallery. Revenue is read from Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad, RevenueCat or Shopify with read-only access and shown with a check mark (verified revenue). You get cookie-free analytics and an email subscribe box. It is free for five projects and $20 a year on Pro, with a custom domain. You can bring your Stan page over by pasting its address on the import page.
When Stan is the better choice
Keep Stan if you sell courses, coaching calls, memberships or downloads to an audience and your sales are past the crossover. Its checkout is fast on a phone, it takes no cut, and Creator Pro adds marketing tools many sellers use. Some makers run both: Stan for a digital product, linked as one project on a makerhandle page.
