Carrd alternatives, with real yearly prices
Carrd is hard to beat on price for a one-page site. Here is when something else fits better, and what each option costs a year on your own domain.

Why people look past Carrd
Carrd is a much-loved one-page site builder, and cheap: its Pro Standard plan, the one with custom domains, is $19 a year for up to 10 sites, according to Carrd's pricing. People usually look for an alternative for one of three reasons:
- They want it done, not designed. Carrd gives you a blank canvas. Arranging every element is fun once and a chore every time you add a project.
- They need more than one page. A blog, docs or several pages push past what a one-pager is for.
- They want proof, not copy. Carrd shows what you type. It has no built-in way to show live, verified revenue or project status.
Pick the reason that fits you, then the tool.
If you want a finished maker page: makerhandle
makerhandle is the opposite of a blank canvas. You add your projects, each with a status (Active, Building, Acquired, On hold or Discontinued), a description and a screenshot, pick one of seven templates and the page is done. Revenue can be verified from Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad, RevenueCat or Shopify with read access, and cookie-free analytics are built in.
The free plan covers five projects. Pro is $20 a year with your own domain and SSL, about what Carrd Pro Standard costs. If you already have a Carrd page, you can import it in one step. The trade-off: you choose a layout, you do not design one.
If you want more design freedom
- Framer builds custom, animated sites. A free site lives on a Framer subdomain; Framer's pricing page lists the Basic plan, which includes a custom domain, at $10 a month. See makerhandle vs Framer.
- Squarespace has polished templates and commerce. Its Basic plan is $19 a month billed annually, about $228 a year, per Squarespace pricing.
- Wix is a drag and drop builder with a free plan on a Wix address. Its Light plan is about $18 a month billed annually in the US, per Wix's plans page.
All three are full website builders, so they cost more than Carrd and take longer to set up. For a closer look at the gap, read Carrd vs Squarespace on price.
If you write in Notion
- Notion Sites publishes a Notion page as a website. Your own domain is a paid add-on of $10 a month per domain, or $8 a month billed annually, on top of a paid Notion plan, per Notion's help center. See makerhandle vs Notion.
- Super turns Notion pages into fast sites; its pricing lists a free plan on a super.site address and a Personal plan with your own domain at $16 a month on monthly billing. See makerhandle vs Super.
Both are good when the page is mostly writing. Neither is built to show a list of products with their status and revenue.
The yearly cost on your own domain
Prices as listed on each product's own site when we checked, before tax and before the domain itself:
- Carrd Pro Standard: $19 a year
- makerhandle Pro: $20 a year
- Notion Sites custom domain: $96 a year on annual billing, plus a paid Notion plan
- Framer Basic: $10 a month
- Super Personal: $16 a month on monthly billing
- Wix Light: about $18 a month billed annually
- Squarespace Basic: $19 a month billed annually
If a single page that shows your work is what you need, the first two are in a different price class from the rest. The longer comparison is in the cheapest way to host a personal website.
