Analytics
Google Analytics and your link in bio
makerhandle pages do not load Google Analytics. Your page counts visits itself, without cookies, so you still see where people come from and what they click.
What works today
- Built-in stats on every page: visitors, pageviews, bounce rate, visit duration, sources and UTM campaigns, countries and cities, devices and browsers, clicks on every link and project, and subscribes as goals, with realtime and CSV export. See analytics.
- No cookies and no stored IP addresses, so your page needs no cookie banner.
- Bots filtered out, so the numbers are people.
- A public stats page if you want to share them.
Set it up
There is nothing to connect: stats start when your page is live. To follow visitors from your page into your own site, where your Google Analytics runs:
- Tag the links on your page with UTM parameters, such as
?utm_source=makerhandle&utm_medium=bio. The UTM builder makes them. - Your Google Analytics then shows those visits as coming from makerhandle.
- Your makerhandle stats show how many clicked each link.
Good to know
Why not load Google Analytics on maker pages? It sets cookies that need consent in many countries, slows the page and shares visitor data with a third party. Free keeps 7 days of stats, Pro a year. Read cookie banners and your link in bio and track link in bio clicks with UTM tags.
