How to Export or Save Your Tap Bio Page

Tap Bio is closing: its own page says "Your service continues until Oct 31, 2026." Reports published in October 2026 say there is no one-click export, and Taplink, which wrote about the shutdown, says Tap Bio has called an export option in development but not yet available. So for now, saving your page is up to you. Here is what is worth keeping and the quickest ways to keep it.

The fastest backup: import it

Import your page reads your public Tap Bio page and copies every button into a makerhandle page as link buttons, in the same order, with your name, bio, photo and social profiles. Your Tap Bio page is not touched. Even if you end up somewhere else, you now have every link saved in a page that works, and you can copy them out any time.

The free plan holds 20 links; if your page has more, you pick which come first. Card text and uploaded images do not come over, so save those by hand as below.

What to save by hand

Open your page in a browser on a computer, not the app, and keep a note with:

  1. Every card, in order. Title, description and the link on each button. The order was a choice worth keeping.
  2. Your profile: name, the short title under it, your bio and your profile photo.
  3. Images you uploaded. Right click each one and save it. Tap Bio hosted them, so they will go with the page.
  4. Events, videos and other special cards. Note what each one pointed to (a YouTube channel, an event page), since those turn into plain links anywhere else.
  5. A full-page screenshot. In Chrome or Edge, open developer tools and run "Capture full size screenshot"; in Firefox, right click and choose "Take Screenshot", then "Save full page". A phone screenshot of each card works too.

Mailing list cards are worth a separate check: the subscribers live in the email tool you connected (Tap Bio's tutorials cover a Mailchimp card), not in Tap Bio, so they are safe. Just add a new signup box on your new page.

Ask Tap Bio, too

Tap Bio's announcement lists support@tap.bio for questions. Its FAQ also says it is exploring a way to move accounts to Link in Profile, its sister product, with a form for anyone interested. If an official export appears, use it as well: a second copy costs nothing.

Rebuild in two minutes

Once your note is done, the rebuild is quick with any tool: a two-line bio, your most important link first, the rest in order with a short description each. On makerhandle the import has already done the links; add the card text as descriptions and you are finished.

Then change the link everywhere the old one lives: how to change the link in your Instagram bio and everywhere else. Choosing a new home? The best Tap Bio alternatives compares the options.
