For therapists

A calm first step for new clients

Reaching out to a therapist is hard. Your page should answer the practical questions quietly, so the only thing left is booking a consult.

A free 15 minute consult

Paste your Calendly, Cal.com or Acuity consult link into Book a time and the calendar shows on your page. People choose a time without writing an email they have drafted three times.

Use SimplePractice, Jane or TherapyNotes? Put their request page first as a link instead. Your intake, records and payments stay in that system; makerhandle never collects health details.

What your page would show

Example: a licensed counselor in private practice. Her photo, "Anxiety, life transitions and couples. In person in Raleigh, telehealth across NC" as the bio. Then:

  • Book a free 15 minute consult, Calendly on the page
  • Fees and insurance, a link to her page with rates and plans
  • My approach, a short project page in her own words
  • Psychology Today profile

The opening hours block shows office days and the address, with a note that the building has parking behind it.

Referrals from other providers

Give doctors and other therapists a card with your QR code: it opens your page, where your specialties and the consult link are the first thing they see. Scans show up as "QR code" in your stats, with no cookies on your visitors.

See what works, on an address you own

Built-in analytics count visits, where they came from (Psychology Today, Google and Instagram) and which buttons get tapped, with no cookies and no consent banner. Scans of your QR code show up as their own source, so you can tell the printed code apart from your bio link.

On Pro, $20 a year, the page can live on your own domain, like raleighcounseling.com, and raleighcounseling.com/book goes straight to your booking page. Print it once and it keeps working when you change apps. Coming from Linktree? Paste it on the import page and your links come over in order.

Questions

Is this HIPAA compliant?

makerhandle is a public page, not a records system, so do not collect health details on it. Keep intake and messages in SimplePractice, Jane or your EHR, and link to them.

Does it set cookies on my visitors?

No. Stats are counted without cookies or stored IP addresses, so there is no consent banner.

Can I list insurance and fees?

Yes, as a link or a short project page.

Is it free?

Yes. Free pages hold 50 links, your socials, booking, opening hours, a QR code and 7 days of stats. Pro is $20 a year for your own domain, every template, a year of stats and no badge.
