A hoo.be alternative for makers

What hoo.be does well

hoo.be is a link in bio for creators with a strong visual style, shoppable links and tools for brand work. Its pricing page lists Free, Pro and Premium tiers, with a platform fee on sales that drops as you move up the tiers.

Several sources, including Later's glossary, have described hoo.be as invite-only or application-based. That may have changed, so check hoo.be if you are interested.

Open to anyone who makes things

makerhandle has no waitlist. Pick a handle, add your projects and share the link. It is built for indie hackers, developers, designers, store owners and anyone else with work to show.

Each project gets a status, screenshot, description and tags. The Showcase template gives big screenshot cards, and Bento lays your work out as tiles.

No cut, ever

makerhandle does not process payments, so there is no seller fee at any tier. Link to wherever you sell, and if that is Stripe or Shopify, show verified revenue on your page with read-only access.

The free plan covers five projects. Pro is $20 a year for unlimited projects, every template, the theme builder, a custom domain with SSL, a year of analytics and no badge. See pricing.

Which should you pick?

Pick hoo.be if you are a creator selling through your page and its look and brand tools suit you.

Pick makerhandle if you want a page for products and projects that anyone can set up today, with private analytics and no fees on what you earn.
