# One link for the music, the merch and the list

> A link in bio for musicians: streaming buttons with their own icons, releases with cover art and a music video, merch, a mailing list and tips.

Streaming buttons, every release with its cover art, the music video, your merch store and a mailing list for the next show. On your band's own domain with Pro.

## Releases, not just buttons

Fans want to hear the new single, and some want the whole catalog. On makerhandle the **link buttons** go first: Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, YouTube and SoundCloud, each with its own icon picked up by itself. Then each release is a **project** with its cover art, a line about it and a status: **Coming soon** for the single out Friday, **Active** for the album.

Each release opens its own [project page](https://makerhandle.com/features/project-pages) with the story behind it, a gallery of photos and the **music video**: paste the YouTube link and it plays on the page when someone presses play, without loading YouTube until then.

## What your page would show

**Example:** a four-piece indie band. The band photo, "New single out Friday" in the bio, then buttons for Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, with "Tickets for the spring tour" highlighted in the accent color. Below, the new single as the featured card (**Coming soon**), last year's album, and the merch store, which shows "$1.3k in the last 30 days, verified" from Shopify because the band chose to show it. A "Buy us a round" support button and a mailing list box sit at the bottom.

## Fans who want to pay you directly

Streaming pays little. The [support button](https://makerhandle.com/features/support) links to your Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi or Patreon page on every plan, in any wording you like. Built-in tips and memberships paid to your own Stripe account are opening to makers in stages.

The subscribe box builds a list you own, with double opt-in and CSV export, for tour dates and releases: 100 fans free, unlimited on Pro. Merch on Shopify, Gumroad, Stripe or Lemon Squeezy can show verified sales; Bandcamp, Spotify and Patreon cannot.

## Fed up with Linktree?

Linktree's own help center says it does not support custom domains, so a Linktree always starts with linktr.ee. Hiding the Linktree logo takes its Pro or Premium plan, priced by region on [its pricing page](https://linktr.ee/s/pricing). makerhandle Pro is **$20 a year** everywhere and includes your own domain and no badge. To be fair to Linktree: its free plan has unlimited links, and ours has 50 on every plan.

What makerhandle does not do: no pre-save campaigns, no audio player, no tour dates widget pulling from Bandsintown. Link those tools from a button. Paste your current page on the [import page](https://makerhandle.com/import) to bring your links over in one step, and see which ones fans tap in [analytics](https://makerhandle.com/features/analytics), without cookies.

## Questions

### Do Spotify and Apple Music buttons get their icons?

Yes. A link button uses the linked site's icon by default, or a line icon such as the music note, or an emoji.

### Can I put a music video on my page?

Yes, on a release's project page: paste a YouTube link and it plays there when someone presses play.

### Can I do pre-saves?

Not built in. Link your pre-save page from a button and highlight it until release day.

### Is it free?

Yes: 50 links, 5 releases or projects and 100 subscribers, with a small badge. Pro is $20 a year for your own domain and no badge.
