# A link in bio for creators who make things

> A link in bio for creators who make videos, podcasts, newsletters, courses or products: links, your work and stats on your own domain. Free to start.

Videos, episodes, issues, courses, a shop. Your links on top, the things you make below, on a page that looks like yours and not like everyone else's.

## The in-between

Most creators sit between two options that both miss. A link list is fast but looks like every other bio, sits on someone else's address and says nothing about what you make. A full website looks like you, but takes a weekend to build and a monthly bill to keep.

makerhandle is the bit in the middle: a page you fill in, not design. **Link buttons** for the places you want people to go, each with that site's own icon (YouTube, Spotify, Substack, your shop) or one of ours. **Projects** for the things you make: a series, a podcast, a course, a preset pack, a book, a store, each with a cover image, a description and a status. Pick one of nine templates and it looks finished on a phone.

## What your page would show

**Example:** a cooking creator's page. At the top, her name, a two-line bio and icons for YouTube and Instagram. Then the buttons: "Watch the newest video" highlighted in her accent color, "Get the weekly recipe email", "Shop my knives" and "Brand deals: email me". Below, three projects: the cookbook (**Coming soon**, with the cover and a preorder link), the meal plan course (with "$2.1k in the last 30 days, verified" from Gumroad, because she chose to show it) and the YouTube series, whose project page plays the trailer when someone presses play.

Every one of those parts is a real feature: link buttons, which you can [import from your old page](https://makerhandle.com/import), [project pages](https://makerhandle.com/features/project-pages) with a gallery and a video, [verified revenue](https://makerhandle.com/features/verified-revenue), the [subscribe box](https://makerhandle.com/features/email-subscribers) and a [support button](https://makerhandle.com/features/support) for tips.

## Fed up with Linktree?

Linktree's own help center says it does not support custom domains, so a Linktree always starts with linktr.ee. Hiding the Linktree logo takes its Pro or Premium plan, priced by region on [its pricing page](https://linktr.ee/s/pricing). makerhandle Pro is **$20 a year** everywhere and includes your own domain and no badge. To be fair to Linktree: its free plan has unlimited links, and ours has 50 on every plan.

Moving takes one step: paste your Linktree address on the [import page](https://makerhandle.com/import) and your links, bio, photo and socials come over in the same order. Your Linktree stays as it is until you swap the link in your bios. The full move, including how to keep old links working, is in [how to move from Linktree](https://makerhandle.com/blog/move-from-linktree).

## Know which post sent people

Built-in analytics show visitors, sources (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, newsletters), countries, devices and clicks on every link and project. The browsers list shows visits from inside the Instagram and TikTok apps. Tag the link you post in each place with the [UTM builder](https://makerhandle.com/tools/utm-builder) and campaigns show up too.

No cookies and no stored IP addresses, so your page needs no cookie banner. Free keeps 7 days of stats; Pro keeps a year. See [analytics](https://makerhandle.com/features/analytics).

## What it costs, and what it does not do

Free forever: 5 projects, 50 links, three templates and up to 100 email subscribers, with a small "Built w/ makerhandle" badge. **Pro is $20 a year** for unlimited projects, every template and the theme builder, unlimited subscribers, a [contact form](https://makerhandle.com/features/contact-form), a year of stats, your own domain and no badge.

What it does not do: it is not a store. People buy on Gumroad, Shopify, Stan or wherever you sell, and makerhandle can show those sales as verified revenue. It does show your [latest YouTube video and podcast episode](https://makerhandle.com/features/video-and-podcast) by themselves, and links can be [scheduled](https://makerhandle.com/features/scheduled-links) to appear and expire on their own, for a launch or a limited offer. If you sell straight from your bio, compare [Linktree vs Beacons vs Stan Store](https://makerhandle.com/blog/linktree-vs-beacons-vs-stan-store) first.

## Questions

### Is makerhandle only for people who build software?

No. It started with indie hackers, but a project is anything you make: a channel, a podcast, a newsletter, a course, a product or a shop. Link buttons cover everything else.

### Can I import my Linktree?

Yes. Paste your Linktree address on the import page and your links, bio, photo and socials come over in one step. Beacons, Stan Store, Taplink, bio.link and Lnk.Bio pages work too.

### Is there a makerhandle badge on the free plan?

Yes, a small "Built w/ makerhandle" badge. Pro removes it, for $20 a year.

### Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on Pro: links.yourname.com or yourname.com itself, with SSL issued and renewed for you.

### Can I sell directly from my page?

Not products. makerhandle shows them (a product grid with photos and prices) and links to where you sell, and can show verified sales. The one payment it can take is support (tips and memberships), opening to makers in stages; the support button can link to Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi or Patreon today.
