# Invite a maker, you both get a month of Pro

> Invite a maker to makerhandle and you both get a month of Pro when they add a project. Earn up to a year of Pro free with your invite link.

Every friend who joins through your link and starts using makerhandle earns both of you a month of Pro. Up to a full year.

## How it works

1. Share your invite link, or just your page: the small "Built w/ makerhandle" badge on free pages carries your handle.
2. A friend signs up through it. The first invite they arrive with is the one that counts.
3. Once they have a visible project with a link and come back on a later day, you **both get 30 days of Pro**.

The editor shows your invites and how many months you have earned.

## Limits, plainly

You can earn up to **12 months** this way, a full year of Pro, with at most three rewards in any seven days. Nobody can refer themselves, and throwaway email addresses do not count on either side.

The "came back on a later day" rule is there so that a signup made only to claim the reward earns nothing. Real makers trip it without noticing.

## Stacks with paid Pro

Pro earned from invites is kept separately from paid Pro. If you already pay, earned months stack after your paid year. If you do not, you get Pro features immediately, and your page falls back to free when the earned time runs out.

Your friends never share their email with you or us through the invite. The link is the whole mechanism.
