# Your hours, your address and whether you are open right now

> Show your opening hours, holidays and an Open now badge on your link in bio, with your address, Open in Maps and a tap-to-call button. Free on every plan.

Add your weekly hours and address once. Your page tells every visitor whether you are open now, when you close, how to get there and how to call, in your time zone.

## What the block shows

Turn on **Business info** on the Page tab and fill in what applies:

- **Address**, with an **Open in Maps** button: Apple Maps on an iPhone, iPad or Mac, Google Maps everywhere else.
- **Phone**, as a button that dials in one tap on a phone, and an **email** button.
- **Weekly hours**, with up to four sets a day for split shifts (a lunch and a dinner service), and closed days.
- **Holidays and special hours** by date or a run of dates, which replace the usual hours on those days and drop off the page once they are past.
- A **badge** at the top: "Open now · closes 6pm", or "Closed · opens 9am Mon".

The block wears your page's theme in every one of the nine templates and is laid out for a phone first.

## Right for the moment someone looks

Hours are wall-clock times in your time zone, which the editor takes from your browser and you can change. The badge is worked out when the page is opened, for that moment, and kept current while the page stays open, so a customer who checks at 5:58 sees "closes 6pm" and at 6:01 sees when you open next. Visitors in another time zone are told the hours are the business's own.

Hours can run past midnight, like 18:00 to 02:00 for a bar, and count toward the night they start. Daylight saving changes are handled for you: a 9 to 5 day stays 9 to 5 on the morning the clocks move.

## Fast and private by default

There is no map embed unless you turn one on, so the page stays light and nothing reaches a map provider when someone opens it. The optional small map is drawn from OpenStreetMap tiles that makerhandle fetches and serves itself, so your visitors' browsers never contact a third party for it. Directions open in the visitor's own maps app when they tap the button.

## Found by search engines

Pages with the block carry LocalBusiness structured data next to the profile data they already had: your business name and type (a cafe, a salon, a shop), address, phone, opening hours and upcoming holiday hours, in the format search engines read. Your page stays one page; the hours are part of it.

Opening hours are free on every plan. Pro adds your own domain, so the page your window sticker and printed menus point at is yourshop.com, for **$20 a year**. See [small businesses](https://makerhandle.com/for/small-businesses).

## Questions

### Is the Open now badge right in other time zones?

Yes. It is worked out for the moment the page is viewed against your time zone, and a visitor elsewhere is told the times are local to the business.

### Can I close for a holiday?

Yes. Add a date or a run of dates as closed, or give them shorter hours, with a note like "Christmas". They replace the usual hours on those days.

### Does it show a map?

Only if you switch the small map on. By default there is an Open in Maps button instead, which keeps the page fast and private.

### Does it cost extra?

No. Business info is on every plan, free included.
