# The best Tap Bio alternatives, sorted by what you used it for

> Tap Bio closes on Oct 31, 2026. The best Tap Bio alternatives (Link in Profile, Linktree, Beacons, Taplink, Carrd, Stan, makerhandle) and who each suits.

Tap Bio says its service continues until October 31, 2026. Here are the replacements worth a look, what each costs on its own pricing page, and who each one suits.

## The short version

We make makerhandle, so it is on this list, and we say where something else fits you better. Everything about the other tools comes from their own pages, checked on October 19, 2026; prices change, so confirm before you pay.

## Closest to Tap Bio: Link in Profile

Tap Bio's own announcement points customers to **Link in Profile**, with codes for 50% off, and Link in Profile's site is signed "Tap Bio, Inc.", so it comes from the same company. Tap Bio's FAQ describes it as very similar to Tap Bio's Instagram Links Card: a landing page of your Instagram posts that have links, where you add a link in a post's caption or in its dashboard. There are no cards or other page types.

The FAQ lists $9.99 a month or $99 a year, with Tap Bio customers getting half off the first year ($4.99 a month or $49.50 a year), and says the team is exploring a way to move Tap Bio accounts over automatically.

**Pick it if** you mainly used Tap Bio so that each Instagram post could have its own link. **Skip it if** you want one page for everything you do: it is built around your posts, not around you.

## For a simple list of links: Linktree

Linktree is the default link in bio: quick to set up, recognized by everyone, and the free plan is enough for a list of buttons. Paid tiers (Starter, Pro, Premium) add appearance options, scheduling, deeper analytics and commerce; Linktree shows prices in local currency. One limit to know: Linktree does not support custom domains on any plan, so your address stays linktr.ee/yourname.

**Pick it if** Tap Bio was mostly a list of links to your posts, videos or shop. More in [Linktree alternatives](https://makerhandle.com/compare/linktree-alternatives) and [Linktree vs Beacons vs Stan Store](https://makerhandle.com/blog/linktree-vs-beacons-vs-stan-store).

## For selling: Beacons or Stan Store

**Beacons** puts a lot into its free plan, including a store for digital products and a media kit. Its help center lists a **9% fee** on digital product sales on the free plan and Creator Pro, and none on Creator Plus or Max.

**Stan Store** is built to sell digital products, courses, coaching calls and memberships from your bio. Stan takes no fee on sales, but there is no free plan: Creator is $29 a month or $300 a year after a 14-day trial.

Our arithmetic: a 9% fee equals $29 a month at about $322 a month in digital sales. Sell less and Beacons' free plan is cheaper; sell more and Stan's flat price wins. See [Beacons alternatives](https://makerhandle.com/compare/beacons-alternatives) and [Stan Store alternatives](https://makerhandle.com/compare/stan-store-alternatives).

## For a mini landing page: Taplink

Taplink (not to be confused with Tap Bio) builds a page for your bio from blocks: links, text, FAQs, maps and forms. It has a free plan, and its own blog lists paid plans at $4 and $8 a month. Taplink has also written about the Tap Bio shutdown, pitching itself as the replacement, so read its comparison as marketing, the way you should read ours.

**Pick it if** you run a service business and want a small sales page with forms in your bio. See [makerhandle vs Taplink](https://makerhandle.com/compare/taplink).

## For a real one-page site: Carrd

Carrd builds simple one-page sites that you lay out yourself. It has a free plan on a Carrd subdomain, Pro Lite from $9 a year, and custom domains from Pro Standard at $19 a year. It takes longer to set up than a link list, and you are the designer.

**Pick it if** you want a small website more than a link in bio. See [Carrd alternatives](https://makerhandle.com/compare/carrd-alternatives).

## For makers: makerhandle

makerhandle is a page for people who make things: apps, games, shops, newsletters, side projects. Each project gets a card with a status, description, screenshot and, if you want, revenue verified from Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad, RevenueCat, Buy Me a Coffee or Shopify. Links sit above your projects, analytics use no cookies, and there is an email signup box.

It is free for five projects. Pro is **$20 a year** and includes a custom domain, so the next time a tool closes, you change one DNS record instead of every bio. Tap Bio pages [import in one click](https://makerhandle.com/import) until it closes.

**Skip it if** you mainly sell courses or need a checkout on the page; makerhandle links to where you sell. The full comparison is [makerhandle as a Tap Bio alternative](https://makerhandle.com/compare/tap-bio).

## Whatever you pick, own the address

Tap Bio is the latest link in bio to close after [Koji](https://makerhandle.com/compare/koji), [Linkpop](https://makerhandle.com/compare/linkpop) and [Bento](https://makerhandle.com/compare/bento-alternatives). Every time, people had to update every link they had ever shared. A tool that lets you use your own domain turns the next closure into a five minute job.
