# A Linkpop alternative for Shopify sellers

> Shopify has discontinued Linkpop. makerhandle lists your stores and shows verified Shopify sales from a read-only app. Free for five projects.

Shopify has shut Linkpop down. If you sell on Shopify and want one link that shows your stores, and proves they sell, start here.

## What happened to Linkpop

Linkpop was Shopify's own link in bio tool. It let store owners make a simple page with links and products from their store. Shopify has **discontinued Linkpop**: its [App Store listing](https://apps.shopify.com/linkpop) says the app is no longer available, and linkpop.com now redirects to shopify.com. Reports put the shutdown in mid-2025, after which pages could no longer be created or edited.

Shopify did not give a detailed reason. For store owners the practical result was the same: a page you cannot change is a page that slowly goes stale.

## What makerhandle does differently

Linkpop's strength was product links straight from your catalog. makerhandle does not embed a shop. Instead it treats each **store as a project**, with its own card, logo, description, tags and screenshot, and links to it.

What it adds is proof. Connect a Shopify app with only the `read_orders` scope and your page shows **the last 30 days of orders, net of refunds**, excluding canceled and test orders, with a check mark. Run several stores? Each one gets its own connection. See [makerhandle for Shopify stores](https://makerhandle.com/for/shopify-stores).

## Works with the 2026 Shopify app changes

Since January 1, 2026, new custom apps are created in Shopify's **Dev Dashboard**, which gives you a Client ID and Client secret instead of a fixed token. makerhandle accepts both that and a legacy custom app token from before 2026.

Credentials are checked before they are saved, encrypted at rest and never shown again. The walkthrough is in [how to show Shopify revenue without admin access](https://makerhandle.com/blog/show-shopify-revenue-without-admin-access).

## Know which platform sends shoppers

Built-in analytics show visitors, sources, UTM campaigns, countries, devices and clicks on each store, with no cookies and no stored IP addresses. That tells you whether Instagram, TikTok or a newsletter is sending people, and which store they open.

Free covers five projects and seven days of stats. Pro is **$20 a year** for unlimited projects, a year of analytics, every template and a custom domain. See [pricing](https://makerhandle.com/pricing).
