# Your Calendly link, or a page with Calendly on it?

> Should your bio link go straight to Calendly, or to a page with your Calendly calendar on it? The trade-offs, and how to put Calendly on a link in bio.

Coaches, consultants and freelancers often put their Calendly link straight in their bio. That works, until people want to know more before they book.

## Calendly alone is a fine bio link, sometimes

Calendly is the scheduling tool most people know. Its pricing page lists a free plan with **one event type** and paid plans from **Standard at $10 a seat a month billed yearly**. If the only thing anyone does from your bio is book a call, sending them straight to your Calendly page is the shortest path, and nothing here says otherwise.

It stops being enough when people need context first: who you are, what the call is for, what you charge, what others say, or whether they should read or watch something before they book.

## The page with the calendar on it

makerhandle's **Book a time** block puts your Calendly calendar on your page, under your name, photo and a line about what the call is for. Visitors pick a time without leaving. The calendar only loads when they scroll near it, so the page stays fast, and without JavaScript it is a plain link to your Calendly page.

Around it you can add what helps people decide: your latest video, a short list of services as buttons, your newsletter, a contact form on Pro. `yourname/book` goes straight to your booking page, for the times you want the shortcut. ## Not on Calendly?

The same block works with Cal.com, TidyCal, Google Calendar appointment schedules and Acuity as a calendar on the page, and with Booksy for salons and barbers. Square Appointments, Fresha, Vagaro, Setmore and SimplyBook.me show as a "Book" button.
